ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (TRANSFORMERS & MV SYSTEMS) – FULL TIME
Location: Spintex, Greater Accra, Ghana

Company Profile
A reputable MEP engineering solutions provider in Accra is seeking a Ghana-based Electrical Engineer with strong experience in transformer and medium-voltage (MV) systems to support power infrastructure and substation-related projects. The role involves ensuring reliable system performance, supporting installation and maintenance activities, and contributing to safe and efficient project execution
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain MV and LV electrical systems.
- Install, test, and commission transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
- Perform electrical configuration, diagnostics, and routine preventive maintenance.
- Conduct cable sizing, load assessments, and protection coordination studies.
- Interpret single line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and protection diagrams.
- Supervise substation and transformer installation activities on site.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Prepare technical reports and document maintenance and installation activities.
- Support project teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of power infrastructure works.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electrical engineering industry.
- Proven experience working with transformers, substations, or MV systems.
- Strong understanding of protection systems, switchgear, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments and diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
