Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of electrical systems across the organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted operations through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and adherence to safety standards.

Principal Accountabilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems within buildings, plant, and equipment to ensure continuous operations.

• Record all maintenance activities accurately in equipment logs to support effective decision-making on repairs, rehabilitation, and replacement.

• Monitor operational parameters of high- and low-voltage switchgear at electrical substations to ensure safe and efficient performance.

• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and machinery.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

• Ensure full compliance with electrical safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements, including the proper use of PPE and safe work procedures.

Qualification & Experience

• Hold an HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or EET II.

• Possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power electronics, digital electronics, and microcomputer systems.

• Apply strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

• Exhibit excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.

• Demonstrate high integrity and professionalism.

• Possess knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2018 management systems.
