Role Overview

Pumptech Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electromechanical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair water pumps and related systems. The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of electromechanical systems across various client installations.


Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

  • Assemble, install, and test water pumps, motors, and control systems.
  • Ensure proper alignment, wiring, and calibration of all electromechanical components.

Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and replace defective components.
  • Conduct vibration analysis, lubrication, and electrical testing.

Troubleshooting

  • Identify and resolve faults in motor control panels, sensors, and automation systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools to test electrical circuits, mechanical assemblies, and hydraulic systems.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and recommend improvements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere strictly to company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and mechanical standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electromechanical maintenance, preferably in water pumps or fluid handling systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, motor controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and vibration analyzers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive is an added advantage.
