Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Emergency Preparedness & Response Officer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of emergency response activities. The successful candidate will strengthen preparedness systems, coordinate multi-stakeholder response efforts, and support timely and effective humanitarian interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of emergency preparedness and response activities
- Coordinate with multiple teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective emergency response delivery
- Monitor emerging risks and support early warning and preparedness planning processes
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting to support decision-making
- Maintain up-to-date emergency response plans, tools, and operational frameworks
- Assist in mobilizing resources and coordinating logistics during emergency situations
- Provide support in managing concurrent activities across multiple response operations
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of emergency preparedness and response activities
- Support capacity building initiatives for partners and field teams
- Maintain strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
- Advanced University Degree in Public Administration or related field
- Minimum of 2 yearsโ experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Experience in humanitarian or international development contexts preferred
- Strong experience in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams
- Strong leadership skills with a supportive and collaborative approach
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple teams, organizations, and activities simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
