We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Employee Relations Manager to join our team in Weija, Accra. This role offers an excellent opportunity to shape workplace culture, strengthen employee engagement, and support fair and effective people management practices within a dynamic and fast-paced organization.

Position Summary

The Employee Relations Manager will support the development and maintenance of positive employer-employee relationships across the organization. The role will manage employee relations matters, promote compliance with labor laws and company policies, resolve workplace issues, and support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, productivity, and organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations Management

  • Manage day-to-day employee relations matters across departments and operational units.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and disciplinary guidelines.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

Compliance & Labor Relations

  • Ensure compliance with Ghana labor laws and internal HR policies.
  • Support management in implementing disciplinary procedures in line with legal and organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of employee relations cases and resolutions.
  • Advise management on employment law, labor relations, and HR best practices.

Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote open communication between employees and management.
  • Conduct employee feedback sessions and support workplace surveys.
  • Assist in improving employee satisfaction, retention, and morale.

Conflict Resolution & Advisory

  • Mediate workplace disputes and facilitate constructive resolution processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers on handling employee relations issues.
  • Support supervisors in building effective people management skills.
  • Recommend preventive strategies to reduce workplace conflict and absenteeism.

HR Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and outcomes.
  • Prepare periodic reports on employee relations trends and issues.
  • Support HR reporting on disciplinary actions, grievances, and workplace concerns.
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps in HR policies and recommend improvements.
  • Support the development of HR frameworks that strengthen workplace harmony.
  • Contribute to training programs on employee relations, leadership, and compliance.
  • Stay updated on labor law changes and HR best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in employee relations, HR management, industrial relations, or a related HR function.
  • Strong understanding of Ghana labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or large operational environment will be an advantage.
