Job Summary

The Farm Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day management of farm operations, supervise farm workers, and ensure that crop production activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established agricultural best practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high productivity, product quality, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect crops and fields to assess maturity, yield, and work requirements, including cultivating, weeding, and harvesting.
• Plan, supervise, and coordinate crop planting, cultivation, harvesting, and storage activities.
• Supervise, support, and monitor the daily activities of farm workers and labourers.
• Develop work schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient farm operations.
• Train employees on work procedures, equipment use, and workplace safety standards.
• Evaluate weather and soil conditions to support effective crop management decisions.
• Oversee the sorting, handling, and storage of produce to maintain the highest quality standards.
• Ensure that farm machinery and equipment are properly maintained and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Assess existing work procedures and recommend improvements that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Enforce health and safety policies and ensure compliance by all employees and visitors on the farm.
• Prepare operational schedules and establish safe work procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Diploma or HND in Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Farm Supervisor or equivalent practical training in agriculture.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work long hours, early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and capable of performing tasks that involve heavy lifting.
