We are seeking a committed and motivated Field Supervisor to support the successful implementation of our programmes in Ghana.

Job Summary

The Field Supervisor will coordinate and oversee field activities, strengthen stakeholder engagement, support programme implementation, and contribute to monitoring, reporting, and capacity-building initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with communities, implementing partners, and local authorities to promote child protection and ensure the effective delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise field activities to ensure the effective implementation of project plans and programme objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with community stakeholders, government agencies, implementing partners, and local authorities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement meetings, workshops, and training sessions to strengthen local capacity and programme ownership.
  • Monitor project activities and provide technical support to field partners to ensure quality implementation.
  • Prepare timely field reports, project updates, and documentation of lessons learned and best practices.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate programme data to support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
  • Support the identification of project risks, challenges, and opportunities, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Promote child protection principles and ensure that programme activities uphold the rights, safety, and well-being of children.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information and programme data.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and with international teams to achieve programme goals.
  • Represent the organization professionally during field visits, meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to support the successful delivery of programme objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in stakeholder engagement, training, project management, or community development.
  • Experience preparing reports and documenting programme knowledge and lessons learned.
  • Demonstrated experience working with communities and stakeholders at sub-national and community levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong commitment to child protection, safeguarding, and the promotion of children’s rights.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of child protection, child labour, or related development programmes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners, communities, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, including colleagues based in other countries.
  • Ability to ride a motorbike and possession of a valid riding licence.

Languages

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in at least one Ghanaian language, preferably Twi.
