Position Overview
The Philip Patman Company seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Finance and Administration Officer to support its Finance Department Stream. The successful candidate will manage core accounting and administrative functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient office administration. This role requires analytical thinking, integrity, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely bookkeeping activities
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and management accounts
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements in line with company policies
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory requirements
- Support payroll processing and related financial documentation
- Manage general administrative duties to support smooth office operations
- Assist with audits and provide required financial documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial and operational efficiency
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Administration
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or a similar role in a reputable public or private sector organization
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a structured and fast-paced environment
