Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure effective financial management, regulatory compliance, and reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the organization remains financially sustainable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure all transactions align with approved budgets.
  • Member Dues Management: Oversee the collection of membership fees, application fees, and subscriptions across various membership categories, ensuring proper documentation and receipting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior management and relevant committees.
  • Audit & Compliance: Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including directives from the National Insurance Commission (NIC) and Ghana tax laws (VAT, WHT, and Corporate Tax).
  • Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processes, including staff salaries, statutory contributions, and PAYE filings.
  • Budgetary Control: Support the preparation of annual budgets and monitor performance against budget, identifying and addressing variances.

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Have completed at least Level 2 of ICAG or ACCA professional examinations.
  • Be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Ghana) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
  • Possess a basic understanding of the insurance industry (CII qualification or student membership is an advantage).

Professional Experience

  • Demonstrate 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate or non-profit environment.
  • Have prior experience within the financial services sector or a professional membership organization.
  • Show proven experience handling statutory and regulatory filings with the Ghana Revenue Authority and SSNIT.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or Sage.
  • Exhibit advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial modeling.
  • Show strong understanding of financial reporting, audit processes, and statutory compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
