The Role
Petrosol is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to join our team in Accra. The successful candidate will lead the company’s financial reporting processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and provide accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
This role requires a proactive finance professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to maintain high standards of financial integrity and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will:
- Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor financial reporting controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper financial documentation and reporting consistency.
- Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to finance team members where required.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in financial reporting, accounting, or finance management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional accounting certification will be an added advantage.
