Job Summary

As a French Teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective French lessons to learners from Basic 6 to JHS 3 using the NaCCA curriculum. You will create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages learners to communicate confidently in French while developing their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French to learners from Basic 6 to JHS 3 in accordance with the NaCCA syllabus.
• Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and interactive learning activities.
• Conduct oral and written assessments to evaluate learners’ progress.
• Set and mark classwork, assignments, and examinations, and maintain accurate academic records.
• Prepare JHS 3 learners effectively for the BECE French examination.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Encourage learners to speak, read, write, and understand French with confidence.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding learners’ progress.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and school activities.

Educational Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in French or Education with French.
• A valid NTC Teacher License will be an added advantage.
• The necessary qualifications and subject knowledge required to teach French at the Basic and Junior High School levels.
