Job Summary

GIU International Christian Academy is seeking an experienced and engaging French Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction at the IGCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will develop students’ fluency across all language skills while fostering critical thinking through literature, culture, and real-world discourse.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging French lessons focusing on listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills
• Improve student fluency, confidence, and ability to respond spontaneously in French
• Guide students in analyzing French literature, films, and contemporary issues
• Facilitate classroom discussions and debates on social and political topics
• Prepare, administer, and mark mock examinations aligned with IGCSE and A Level standards
• Conduct formal oral examinations in accordance with examination board requirements, including recording and documentation
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support where needed
• Maintain accurate academic records and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (IGCSE/A Level experience is an advantage)
• Strong command of written and spoken French
• Excellent teaching, communication, and classroom management skills
• Ability to inspire students and promote active participation
• High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
