Job Summary

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven leader to head Business & SME Products, Strategy, and Performance Reporting. You will drive end-to-end product management, business strategy development, and performance analytics across the Business and SME Banking segments. This role requires strong leadership, deep industry expertise, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes that enhance profitability, growth, and customer value.


Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy, Development & Governance

  • Lead the end-to-end development and lifecycle management of Business & SME banking products
  • Drive product innovation through market insights, customer needs analysis, and competitive benchmarking
  • Develop pricing strategies, business cases, and go-to-market plans
  • Ensure strong product governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks
  • Conduct product profitability reviews and implement optimization initiatives

Business Performance Management & Reporting

  • Develop and manage forecasting models, KPI dashboards, and performance scorecards
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting for Business & SME segments
  • Present insights, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensure data integrity through standardized validation and reporting frameworks
  • Own the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes for the division

Strategic Business Planning & Portfolio Analytics

  • Drive development of divisional and segment-level strategies aligned with market trends and business goals
  • Conduct portfolio segmentation and performance analysis to optimize resource allocation
  • Identify growth opportunities, risks, and performance gaps, and recommend actionable solutions
  • Support strategic initiatives to improve revenue, market share, and operational efficiency

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Relationship Management teams
  • Align regional and group strategies to ensure consistent performance delivery
  • Provide strategic and analytical support across business units, including Trade, FX, and Agribusiness

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Establish and enforce frameworks to enhance business and operational performance
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable reporting across the division

Insights, Research & Executive Communication

  • Generate insights from customer, market, and operational data to inform strategy
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, business cases, and reports
  • Facilitate strategy sessions, stakeholder workshops, and performance reviews

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts and professionals
  • Set clear performance targets and drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in banking or financial services, with a strong focus on Business & SME Banking
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CA, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are highly preferred
  • Proven expertise in product management, financial analysis, and strategic planning
  • Strong understanding of SME customer needs, credit processes, and banking product ecosystems
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, reporting, and executive decision support

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and portfolio analysis capabilities
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and performance metrics
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management, and product governance
