Role Overview

Masco Foods seeks an experienced and dynamic Head Chef / Executive Chef to lead and establish its Catering Division. The successful candidate will build kitchen operations from the ground up, develop exceptional menus, and drive culinary excellence across all catering services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and development of the catering kitchen, including layout design, equipment selection, and workforce planning.
  • Design and deliver diverse, scalable menus featuring international and local cuisines tailored to various events and cultural preferences.
  • Develop and implement standardized recipes and SOPs covering food preparation, cooking, portioning, hygiene, and storage.
  • Maintain outstanding food quality, consistency, and presentation standards for both VIP and standard events.
  • Partner with procurement to source high-quality ingredients while optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing culinary team capable of delivering excellence at scale.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all local and international food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor and control kitchen budgets, reduce food waste, and support overall profitability.
  • Oversee catering operations during events, including food production, plating, delivery, and service coordination.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 3 years in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multi-cuisine catering, including Indian, Western, Asian, Continental, and African fusion.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale catering operations such as weddings, corporate events, and high-volume functions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to design efficient kitchen workflows, production schedules, and cost control systems.
  • Willingness to relocate and work full-time in Ghana.
  • International or multicultural work experience is an added advantage.
  • Culinary degree or professional chef certification preferred.
