Head Teacher (3 Positions) – Full-Time

Location: Kandiga Community, Upper East Region, Ghana

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

  • Lead the implementation of the school’s academic programmes and curriculum delivery.
  • Supervise teaching and learning to ensure high standards of academic performance.
  • Monitor student progress and promote continuous improvement in learning outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective lesson planning and assessment strategies.

Staff Leadership and Development

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teachers and academic staff.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote continuous professional development and capacity building for staff.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, collaboration, and accountability among staff.

School Management and Administration

  • Oversee daily school operations in collaboration with the School Administrator and management team.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, educational standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate school timetables, academic schedules, and extracurricular activities.
  • Support effective use of school resources and learning materials.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community.
  • Communicate effectively on student progress, school performance, and development needs.
  • Represent the school in community and educational forums where required.
  • Promote a positive school image and strong community engagement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to use educational and administrative technologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and improve academic performance.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to education.
  • Must be ready to assume duty immediately and reside within the Kandiga community.
