Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and inspiring History Teacher to join our Humanities faculty. In this role, you will create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that brings historical events to life and sharpens students’ analytical skills. The ideal candidate will cultivate critical thinking, guide students in evaluating primary and secondary sources, and connect past global events to contemporary issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Teach History and Social Studies across secondary grade levels using the Cambridge International Curriculum framework.
- Cultivate a Welcoming Classroom: Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment that encourages open discussion, debate, and mutual respect.
- Develop Critical Thinking: Guide students in historical inquiry, source analysis, and the development of coherent, well-supported arguments.
- Assess and Track Progress: Design rigorous assessments, provide timely, constructive feedback, and monitor student achievement to drive academic growth.
- Incorporate Global Perspectives: Utilize creative and modern teaching methodologies to connect global and local histories, making lessons relevant and engaging.
- Collaborate and Contribute: Work alongside colleagues in the Humanities department to develop innovative resources, cross-curricular projects, and extracurricular activities.
