The Opportunity

Palmcrest Hotel is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and service-focused Housekeeper to join our hospitality team in Takoradi.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas, and assigned spaces meet the hotel’s cleanliness and quality standards while delivering excellent service with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Housekeeper, you will:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and assigned hotel spaces to the highest standards.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
  • Ensure rooms are properly arranged and prepared before guest arrival.
  • Inspect assigned areas and report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly.
  • Follow established housekeeping procedures, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards.
  • Handle guest belongings with care and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Replenish room supplies, amenities, and housekeeping materials as required.
  • Support deep cleaning activities and periodic housekeeping tasks.
  • Maintain proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Respond professionally to guest requests and support a positive guest experience.
  • Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in a similar housekeeping role within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and hospitality practices.
  • Ability to work effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment will be an advantage.
