We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation Technician to join our team and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our processing plant operations.
Role Overview
The Instrumentation Technician will install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems within our mineral processing plant. The successful candidate will actively support production targets by ensuring instrumentation systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently in a continuous operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and calibrate field instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshoot and repair faults in instrumentation and automated systems to minimize downtime.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant instrumentation.
Interpret technical drawings, loop diagrams, and control schematics accurately.
Contribute to the implementation of production and maintenance strategies for continuous processing operations.
Ensure strict compliance with site safety, health, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and system modifications.
Collaborate effectively with operations and maintenance teams to improve plant reliability.
Drive company vehicles responsibly and apply defensive driving principles at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience in the mining industry.
Strong understanding of technical, production, and maintenance strategies for large-scale, continuous operating mineral processing plants.
Valid Driver’s License with good defensive driving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
