Position Summary
Genser Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Management Associate to support inventory control, materials management, and supply chain operations at our Takoradi facility.
The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory tracking, efficient stock management, and effective coordination of materials across operational sites, particularly within a fast-paced oil and gas and heavy engineering environment.
This role requires strong analytical ability, technical proficiency, and excellent organizational skills to support operational continuity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability across operational sites.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and spare parts in inventory systems.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation exercises to ensure data accuracy.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure proper documentation of adjustments.
- Support warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficient material handling and storage practices.
- Utilize inventory management systems to update records and generate reports (e.g., SAP, Sage, or equivalent platforms).
- Monitor supply chain performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regular inventory reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in inventory and materials management processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in inventory management or a similar role.
- Prior experience in a heavy engineering, oil and gas, or industrial environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using inventory or enterprise systems such as SAP, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Multicultural work experience is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in French or Chinese is an added advantage.
