Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and mission-driven Programs & Operations Coordinator to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of ADO’s programs and operational activities. The successful candidate will manage multi-stakeholder initiatives, strengthen internal systems, support programme delivery, and contribute to strategic partnerships and resource mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Design, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of ADO programmes and initiatives.
- Manage multi-stakeholder projects involving schools, government agencies, donors, and partner organisations.
- Ensure programmes deliver measurable impact aligned with ADO’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor programme progress, risks, and outcomes, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Operations Management
- Coordinate day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth programme execution.
- Develop and maintain efficient systems for workflow, reporting, and documentation.
- Support budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Strengthen internal processes to improve efficiency and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government institutions, NGOs, donors, and international partners.
- Support partnership development, including proposal contributions and grant-funded programme coordination.
- Represent ADO in meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare timely programme reports, dashboards, and impact updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organisational policies, and safeguarding standards.
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and learning processes to improve programme effectiveness.
Team Coordination & Support
- Lead and support programme teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Coordinate cross-functional workflows across programmes, communications, and operations teams.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and a results-driven team culture.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in programme leadership and operations within a nonprofit, education, or development organisation.
- Demonstrated experience designing and managing large, multi-stakeholder programmes.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex operational workflows.
- Experience engaging government institutions, donors, and international organisations.
- Experience in proposal development or grant-funded programme support is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education, foundational literacy, or disability inclusion (or strong willingness to learn rapidly).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic planning, programme design, and operational management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and reporting capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
