Position Summary
The IT Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day management of the organization’s information technology infrastructure, provide technical support to users, administer Microsoft 365 services, maintain network security, and ensure the availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
- Manage, maintain, and monitor the organization’s IT infrastructure, including computers, servers, networks, storage devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of all IT systems.
- Perform routine system maintenance, software installations, upgrades, and system updates.
Technical Support
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees across all departments.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.
- Respond promptly to support requests while minimizing system downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of IT support activities and resolutions.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange.
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts.
- Configure user permissions, access rights, and security settings.
- Support email administration and user account management.
Hardware and Equipment Management
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, CCTV systems, biometric devices, and other IT equipment.
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance for IT equipment.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
Network Administration
- Monitor network performance and ensure reliable internet connectivity.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network security issues.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
Cybersecurity and Data Protection
- Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect organizational information and systems.
- Manage antivirus software, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Perform routine data backups and support disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor systems for security threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
Vendor and Service Provider Management
- Coordinate with external IT vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance and service level agreements.
- Support the procurement, installation, and deployment of IT hardware and software solutions.
Technology Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology.
- Recommend and implement IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Support management in IT planning, digital transformation initiatives, and technology projects.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or network administration.
- Experience working with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, biometric access control systems, and cloud-based technologies is desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Sound understanding of computer networking and cybersecurity principles.
