Job Summary

Kharis Management Consult Limited seeks a dedicated and experienced Layer House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the layer production unit. The successful candidate will ensure optimal bird health, productivity, and housing conditions while supervising farm staff and maintaining strict biosecurity and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations within the layer house to ensure efficient production activities.
• Monitor egg production, bird health, feed consumption, and overall flock performance.
• Ensure proper feeding, watering, lighting, and environmental management within the layer unit.
• Enforce strict biosecurity, hygiene, and animal welfare standards at all times.
• Supervise and guide farm workers to ensure adherence to operational procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, including mortality rates, egg counts, and feed usage.
• Coordinate with veterinary and production teams to ensure optimal flock health.
• Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure proper cleaning and preparation of layer houses between production cycles.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant qualification or certification in Poultry Production, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in layer poultry production or farm supervision.
• Strong understanding of layer farming practices, flock management, and biosecurity protocols.
• Ability to supervise and motivate farm workers effectively.
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high production standards.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding agricultural environment.
