Position Summary
The Lecturer in Visual Arts will contribute to the College’s mission by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting research, mentoring students, and supporting curriculum development in Visual Arts education. The successful candidate will help prepare future teachers and professionals with the knowledge, skills, and creativity required to excel in contemporary educational and artistic environments.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate and other approved courses in Visual Arts and related disciplines.
- Develop and review course content, instructional materials, and assessment strategies.
- Supervise student projects, teaching practice, and research activities.
- Conduct scholarly research and contribute to publications in relevant academic and professional fields.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and institutional committees.
- Support quality assurance, accreditation, and curriculum development initiatives.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Organize and participate in exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and community engagement activities.
- Contribute to the advancement of vocational and teacher education through innovation and professional service.
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants must:
- Possess a PhD in Visual Arts, Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, or a closely related field from a recognized institution, or hold an equivalent terminal degree.
- Possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) if they did not pursue an education-related programme during their academic studies.
- Demonstrate good character, professionalism, and a high degree of personal integrity.
- Have relevant teaching experience in a tertiary institution or a comparable educational setting.
- Demonstrate expertise in one or more areas of Visual Arts practice and education.
- Show evidence of scholarly research, creative works, exhibitions, or publications. Research and publication experience will be an added advantage.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and student mentorship skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and continuous professional development.

- Have 1.5 line spacing; and
- Maintain 2.54 cm margins on all sides.
