Position Summary
The Materials Controller will oversee the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of project materials and equipment to ensure effective inventory management and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will support project delivery by maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating logistics activities, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Receive, inspect, record, and control project materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock reconciliation reports.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests when necessary.
- Manage warehouse operations and material storage facilities efficiently.
- Coordinate material deliveries with procurement and construction teams.
- Track material consumption and prepare periodic utilization reports.
- Conduct regular stock counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations.
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and preservation of electrical and construction materials.
- Monitor material losses, damages, and discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation for material traceability and accountability.
- Support logistics planning and transportation coordination activities.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory control procedures, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Generate inventory, utilization, and forecast reports for management review and decision-making.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of an HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in inventory control, logistics, materials management, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working within mining, construction, infrastructure, or power project environments will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and warehouse management software.
- Good working knowledge of inventory control procedures and supply chain operations.

General Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Experience working on high-voltage transmission and substation projects, preferably 161kV or above.
- Strong knowledge of utility standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and remote project locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant engineering or project management software.
- Commitment to quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work under demanding schedules while maintaining high professional standards.
