Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Teach Mathematics across various secondary grade levels using the Cambridge International Curriculum framework.
- Integrate STEM Concepts: Deliver engaging lessons that bridge mathematics and core physics concepts, highlighting real-world applications.
- Manage Laboratory Practicalities: Guide students through physics practicals, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and effective lab techniques.
- Cultivate a Welcoming Classroom: Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and encourages student participation.
- Assess and Track Progress: Design rigorous assessments, provide timely and constructive feedback, and monitor student achievement to drive academic growth.
- Collaborate and Contribute: Work alongside colleagues in the STEM department to develop innovative resources, cross-curricular projects, and extracurricular activities.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
Experience & Skills
- Curriculum Expertise: Proven experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE / A-Level).
- Interdisciplinary Knowledge: Strong understanding of core physics concepts and comfort with practical laboratory environments and techniques.
- Classroom Management: Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and maintain an organized, welcoming, and productive classroom.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
