Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Microfinance Officer to support micro-lending operations and customer engagement. The successful candidate will actively prospect clients, manage loan portfolios, supervise field agents, and ensure effective loan recovery and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for new loan customers and support group formation and training
- Appraise loan applications and ensure proper credit assessment procedures
- Conduct daily loan recovery activities and follow up on repayments
- Supervise Mobile Bankers (Susu Collectors) and monitor their field operations
- Reconcile passbooks and ensure accuracy of customer financial records
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and support loan recovery
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of microfinance activities
- Support compliance with internal credit policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Professional qualification (Part II or above) such as ACCA, CA, ACIB, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in microfinance or related banking operations
- Experience in banking operations is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of T24 banking software is an advantage
- Strong integrity, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards
- Self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Good numeracy, coordination, and communication skills
- Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid riding license
- Applicants must be between 25 and 30 years of age
