We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle/High School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to inspire students through the study of literature, language, writing, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered English Language Arts lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and academic excellence.
• Teach a diverse range of literary texts and writing genres while promoting analytical thinking and effective communication.
• Design and implement assessments that monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Encourage students to develop strong research, presentation, and communication skills through inquiry-based learning.
• Maintain effective classroom management that supports student engagement and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to promote student achievement and well-being.
• Participate actively in curriculum development, professional learning, school activities, and extracurricular programs.
• Uphold the school’s mission, Christian values, and commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, English Language Arts, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or professional teaching licence.
• Experience teaching within an American, International, or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching English Language Arts at the middle school or high school level is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of English language instruction, literature, composition, and literacy development.
