Position Summary

ShaQ Express is seeking detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated National Service Personnel to join its Finance & Accounts team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reconciliations, processing financial data, and ensuring compliance with company financial procedures.

This role provides valuable hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and operational finance within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
  • Assist with daily bookkeeping and financial data entry.
  • Prepare and update reconciliation schedules for bank accounts, cash collections, mobile money transactions, and cash-on-delivery (COD) payments.
  • Support the reconciliation of customer payments, operational revenue, and financial records.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial documents and supporting records before processing.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and management information.
  • Organize and maintain financial records in accordance with company policies.
  • Support month-end and periodic financial closing activities.
  • Assist with internal audits and financial compliance activities when required.
  • Monitor financial documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and company records.
  • Collaborate with branch operations and other departments to resolve financial discrepancies promptly.
  • Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must be eligible to undertake National Service for the 2026/2027 service year.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Internship or practical experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, or cash management will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with accounting software or financial management systems is desirable.
  • Experience preparing reconciliation schedules using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to bank reconciliations, mobile money transactions, cash-on-delivery (COD) reconciliation, or revenue tracking is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data organization.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, on-site role based at assigned ShaQ Express branch locations.
  • Work according to branch operational schedules.
