We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Network Security Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats while supporting the organization’s security operations and network defense initiatives.

Position Summary

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring security events, investigating incidents, conducting threat hunting activities, and implementing security controls to protect organizational assets. You will work closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team to identify vulnerabilities, respond to threats, and strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts and events generated by SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other security tools.
• Perform incident detection, triage, containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze network traffic and endpoint activity to detect suspicious behavior and indicators of compromise.
• Support the implementation, tuning, and optimization of SIEM and security monitoring solutions.
• Investigate security incidents and document findings, root causes, and remediation actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen network and endpoint security controls.
• Monitor and maintain security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus solutions, proxies, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Participate in vulnerability management and remediation activities.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, incident reports, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Security Operations Center.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Professional Certifications (Added Advantage)

Candidates with one or more of the following certifications will have an added advantage:

• CSA
• CIH
• CEH
• CTI
• CompTIA CySA+

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Hands-on experience in incident response, threat hunting, and security monitoring.
• Strong experience working with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
• Deep understanding of:

• Strong knowledge of:

• Experience with scripting and automation using tools such as Python and PowerShell.
