Job Summary
Little Learners Nursery & Pre-School seeks a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using the EYFS framework. You will actively support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical growth while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons and age-appropriate classroom activities
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
- Assess, track, and report pupils’ academic and developmental progress
- Prepare lesson notes, teaching materials, and classroom resources
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive behaviour standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a consistent curriculum experience
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding learner progress and needs
- Participate in school programmes, staff meetings, and training sessions
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- 1–2 years of teaching experience in early childhood education
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Passion for child development and early years learning
- Ability to prepare lesson plans and assess pupils effectively
- Knowledge of Jolly Phonics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, committed, and highly professional approach to teaching
- Candidates residing within 5–10 miles of Achimota will be highly considered
