Role Overview
The Operations Lead will drive execution across the organization, ensuring that strategy translates into measurable results. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can manage cross-functional teams, systems, and priorities effectively.
Core Responsibilities
Business Operations & Execution
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations across all functional areas
- Translate strategic objectives into clear weekly and monthly execution plans
- Track team performance and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
Product & Development Coordination
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to monitor product development progress
- Ensure timely delivery of features aligned with business goals
- Coordinate testing cycles, including user testing for LMS and platform features
- Bridge communication between technical and business teams to ensure clarity and alignment
Growth & Partnerships
- Coordinate execution of marketing campaigns and growth initiatives
- Manage and strengthen relationships with partners, including schools, parents, educators, and institutions
- Support pilot programmes and user acquisition strategies
- Track and analyze growth metrics, recommending data-driven improvements
Team & Project Management
- Lead cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external partners
- Implement and manage project management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Notion)
- Drive accountability and ensure clear ownership of tasks and deliverables
- Facilitate weekly team check-ins, reporting, and performance tracking
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Monitor operational budgets and track expenditures
- Support financial reporting in collaboration with leadership
- Assist with revenue tracking and monetization initiatives
- Ensure smooth and efficient administrative processes
Key Requirements
- 3–6+ years of experience in operations, startups, consulting, or project management
- Strong execution mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience working with digital or technology-driven products
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)
- Experience in fintech, edtech, or startup environments
- Familiarity with African markets and emerging ecosystems
- Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams
Skills and Competencies
