Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager will lead and execute strategic HR initiatives that align with business objectives. The role requires a dynamic leader who can build strong teams, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards within the insurance and pensions sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness
- Partner with executive leadership to align human capital initiatives with corporate goals
- Lead change management and culture transformation initiatives across business units
Talent Acquisition and Management
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and selection processes to attract top-tier talent
- Build and maintain talent pipelines and succession plans for critical roles
- Drive structured onboarding programs that accelerate employee integration and productivity
Performance and Rewards Management
- Design and manage performance management systems that drive accountability and results
- Oversee competitive and equitable compensation and benefits structures
- Advise management on performance improvement plans and disciplinary processes
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture that promotes engagement and high performance
- Manage employee relations matters with fairness, consistency, and professionalism
- Lead employee engagement surveys and implement actionable improvement plans
Learning and Development
- Identify organizational training needs and implement effective learning programs
- Promote continuous professional development, particularly within regulated insurance and pensions operations
Compliance and HR Operations
- Ensure full compliance with Ghana Labour Laws and relevant industry regulations
- Maintain accurate HR records, policies, and procedures
- Oversee payroll coordination, HR systems, and reporting processes
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, IHRMP, or equivalent) is required
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance policies, and HR best practices
- Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development programs
- Proficiency in HR systems, payroll processing, and recordkeeping tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
