Role Purpose

The Operations Manager will oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery, operational effectiveness, and exceptional customer experience. The successful candidate will lead operational teams, manage travel and tourism processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise operational teams and provide leadership, coaching, and performance management support.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate travel, tour, reservations, ticketing, and customer service operations to maintain high service standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, hotels, travel partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and quality assurance standards.
  • Prepare operational reports, budgets, forecasts, and management updates.
  • Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Support business growth initiatives through effective planning, coordination, and resource management.

Educational Qualification

  • Degree or professional qualification in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years’ extensive experience within the travel and tourism industry.
  • Strong operational management experience within a travel agency, tour operations, airline, or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of travel and tourism operations, customer service standards, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to operational detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial and business management capabilities, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant operational systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
