Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Partnership & Advocacy Lead to join our team in Accra on a full-time basis. You will lead the development and execution of advocacy strategies, strengthen partnerships, and drive external engagement to advance our mission and influence policy.

You will play a critical leadership role in shaping public discourse, building strong stakeholder relationships, and positioning the organization as a trusted voice in SRH.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement advocacy and external engagement strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with government, media, civil society, and key stakeholders
  • Influence policy and decision-making processes through evidence-based advocacy
  • Oversee communications initiatives to enhance visibility and brand positioning
  • Represent the organization at high-level forums, meetings, and public events
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Monitor trends, risks, and opportunities in the external environment
  • Ensure alignment of advocacy and partnership activities with national priorities

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • Demonstrate a strong background in journalism, media, strategic communications, or public affairs (highly desirable)
  • Have 8–10 years of relevant experience in advocacy, partnerships, communications, or external relations
  • Possess 3–5 years of experience in a senior leadership role
  • Exhibit strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Show strategic thinking and the ability to drive organizational impact
