Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef & Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will prepare nutritious and delicious meals while creating a welcoming dining experience for students and staff. The role requires efficiency, consistency, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meals, pastries, and baked goods to a high standard
• Plan menus that meet nutritional and dietary requirements
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations strictly
• Manage food inventory and report shortages when necessary
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
• Collaborate with staff to ensure timely meal service

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Degree, HND, or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of pastry preparation and general culinary techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of hygiene and professionalism
