Overview of the Role
The Plumbing Facilitator will lead practical and theoretical teaching sessions for ACTT’s plumbing programs, including Plumbing Systems Design and Plumbing & Gas Technology. The facilitator will inspire learners to master technical competencies while embodying ACTT’s core values of integrity, innovation, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead classroom and hands-on training sessions in plumbing systems design, installation, and maintenance.
Develop instructional materials and lesson plans aligned with competency-based training methodologies.
Mentor and guide learners through practical exercises, ensuring understanding of modern plumbing standards and safety practices.
Incorporate technology and modern teaching tools to enhance learning experiences.
Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback to support skill development.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality vocational training programs.
Uphold ACTT’s values, ethical standards, and commitment to excellence.
Educational Requirements & Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or HND in a relevant trade area (e.g., Master Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering).
At least 1 year of practical experience in plumbing systems design and/or instruction.
Experience working within an academic or training institution is preferred.
Strong communication and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of modern plumbing standards, safety practices, and tools.
Proficiency with technology and willingness to adopt new digital tools.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Registered and accredited Facilitator by CTVET or any recognized external regulator.
Hands-on, proactive approach and readiness to contribute to building ACTT.
Fluency in English; additional languages such as Twi, Ewe, Ga, Hausa, or French are an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data-driven decision-making ability.
