Position Summary

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that support students’ academic, social, and personal development. You will create an engaging classroom environment, encourage active learning, assess student progress, and support learners in achieving their educational goals through the Pearson Primary Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Pearson Primary Curriculum and school learning objectives.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports effective learning.
• Develop lesson plans, learning activities, and teaching resources that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess, monitor, and record students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Use innovative teaching methods to encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and independent learning.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support to help students succeed.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and enhance student outcomes.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, training sessions, and professional development programmes.
• Maintain accurate academic records and comply with school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching within the Pearson Primary Curriculum or a similar primary curriculum framework.
• Strong understanding of child development, primary education practices, and effective teaching methodologies.
• Experience planning lessons, assessing learning outcomes, and supporting student progress.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to create engaging, interactive, and learner-centred lessons.
• Passion for supporting children’s academic growth and overall development.
