Role Overview
As a Procurement/Store Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies. You will help maintain optimal inventory levels, support cost-effective purchasing decisions, and contribute to the smooth operation of the organization’s supply chain and store management functions.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Source and procure goods, materials, and services in accordance with company policies and operational requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment activities.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials.
- Organize and maintain the store to ensure efficient storage, accessibility, and inventory control.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
- Monitor stock movements and prepare inventory reports as required.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize loss, damage, or wastage.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support procurement and inventory needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and inventory management standards.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in procurement, inventory management, store operations, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement and inventory control processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A high level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
