Role Overview
The Project Management Specialist – Subsea Projects & Services leads and delivers complex subsea projects across the region. This role ensures effective planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining strong alignment with business objectives, client requirements, and operational standards. The successful candidate brings technical expertise, leadership capability, and a strong focus on performance, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project resources, providing both direct and indirect leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and execute annual departmental plans, contributing to broader business unit strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, procedures, and ways of working.
- Communicate effectively across teams and present project insights, technical strategies, and progress updates to senior leadership.
- Manage projects for diverse clients within the region, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and business goals.
- Apply established project management frameworks while adapting to client-specific requirements and conditions.
- Oversee project cost control, scheduling, and performance to ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Ensure integration of technologies and solutions that support overall business strategy and operational efficiency.
Key Success Factors
- Effective leadership and coordination of project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Strong financial oversight, including successful management of project budgets and P&L.
- Consistent delivery of projects in line with contractual, technical, and operational requirements.
- Clear communication and stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization.
- Continuous improvement in project execution, processes, and client satisfaction.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 4 years in a project management role.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Proven experience in managing Profit & Loss (P&L) and project financial performance.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including meeting facilitation and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
- Demonstrated experience in project cost control and managing contractual requirements to successful completion.
- Strong ability to develop and mentor team members.
