Role Overview

The Loan Recovery & Credit Support Officer plays a key role in managing the credit lifecycle—from client onboarding and loan disbursement to monitoring repayments and supporting recovery efforts. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard new loan clients in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Assess loan applications and evaluate client creditworthiness.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate loan disbursements.
  • Monitor loan portfolios to ensure repayments are made on schedule.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and support effective loan recovery efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and loan documentation.
  • Educate clients on loan products, terms, and repayment expectations.
  • Prepare regular reports on loan performance, collections, and recovery activities.

  • Strong portfolio performance with minimal default rates.
  • Effective client engagement and relationship management.
  • Timely loan processing and accurate documentation.
  • Consistent follow-up and successful recovery of overdue loans.
  • High level of accuracy in reporting and record-keeping.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education

  • WASSCE, Diploma, or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of financial data handling and relevant software.
  • Understanding of loan products and credit processes is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Additional Requirement

  • Must own an Android smartphone to support field operations and client engagement.
