Role Overview
We are seeking a competent and proactive QHSE Officer to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems within our Tema operations.
You will ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies while promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Implement and monitor QHSE policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
Conduct internal audits and support external certification audits.
Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
Monitor environmental impact and ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate QHSE documentation and performance reports.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
You demonstrate:
A bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience (logistics industry experience preferred).
Certification as an ISO 9001/14001/45001 Internal or Lead Auditor.
OSHEM or NEBOSH certification.
Basic safety training, including First Aid and Fire Fighting.
A valid driver’s license.
Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
