Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and independent Regional Business Development & Field Engineering Lead to drive commercial growth and support technical operations in the Western Region. The role combines business development, client engagement, and field engineering coordination, supporting oil & gas, energy, and mining clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Client Relations
  • Identify and win new business with operators, EPCs, and service companies.
  • Build and manage a strong project pipeline in maintenance, fabrication, repairs, and inspection services.
  • Lead client engagements, vendor registrations, and technical meetings.
  • Work with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to define scopes and submit proposals.

Technical & Operational Support

  • Coordinate workshop/yard activities and ensure safe, efficient delivery of projects.
  • Support engineering tasks such as tubular make-up, pressure testing, valve work, and flow-control systems.
  • Prepare job documentation, reports, and project closeout packages.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and resources are ready for mobilization.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor regional projects, competitors, pricing, and opportunities.
  • Maintain a client/contact database and submit weekly BD progress reports.

Coordination

  • Work closely with corporate BD and engineering teams on bids, tenders, and resource planning.
  • Represent Rockway in local industry engagements when required.

Preferred Academic Background

  • Bachelor\’s or master\’s degree in one of the following fields (or related disciplines): Mechanical, Petroleum, Industrial.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6-10 years\’ experience in oilfield services, combining technical and BD functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Takoradi\’s offshore/onshore operations.
  • Proven ability to win contracts and manage client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
