Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Western Regional Manager in Resource Mobilization, Programmes and Church Relations in fulfilment of the mission of the Bible Society of Ghana in the geographical area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and organizes fundraising activities to increase resource mobilisation and membership.
  • Recruits Christians into membership of the BSG and promotes the formation of Bible-Month Club in Churches and workplaces.
  • Meticulously enter the data of new members and update the records of existing members into the DTS. Ensure that all fields are accurately entered.
  • Keeps an effective record system on donors, donations and pledges to update donors periodically; and follow up on pledges to ensure that all are redeemed.
  • Prepare and issue certificates and other membership incentives to new members, provide timely and personalized acknowledgements and ensure donor satisfaction.
  • Keep donors informed and engaged with the Society’s activities and impact, through the established channels of communication (physically and electronically — WhatsApp, text messaging, Telegram, email, phone calls, and personal visit on predetermined times.)
  • Compiles stories for the Link Newsletter and Social Media Platforms.
  • Prepare monthly and periodic reports on BSG resource mobilization financials.

QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES

  • A relevant university degree in Communication, Human Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A passion and deep commitment for the spreading of the word of God.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation and negotiation skills including tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to secure funding and support for the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks, manage a busy workload, work quickly and deliver to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail and ability to edit documents.
  • Must be a go-getter and have grit.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
