We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity) to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business needs, and to support the growth of our cybersecurity portfolio.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity) will support the sales team by delivering technical expertise, demonstrating cybersecurity solutions, and guiding customers through solution design and implementation planning. The role requires a strong blend of technical depth, commercial awareness, and client engagement skills.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Sales Support & Solution Design

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical education sessions to prospective customers
  • Participate in discovery calls alongside the sales team to understand client requirements
  • Assess customer business and technical needs and recommend appropriate cybersecurity solutions
  • Develop deep expertise in company cybersecurity products and service offerings

Pre-Sales & Opportunity Development

  • Support partners and internal sales teams in progressing opportunities and closing deals
  • Engage technology partners to scope, design, and validate solution opportunities
  • Prepare proposals, pitch decks, presentations, and tender responses for clients
  • Represent company solutions in webinars, conferences, seminars, and industry events

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear, value-driven solutions for clients
  • Engage with technical teams and C-suite executives to align solutions with business objectives
  • Provide trusted advisory support throughout the sales cycle and beyond

Cybersecurity Expertise & Enablement

  • Maintain strong knowledge of cybersecurity product lines including EDR, NDR, and SIEM solutions
  • Understand and apply networking concepts across OSI Layers 2–7, including TCP and UDP protocols
  • Work with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including security and networking configurations
  • Support continuous enablement of internal teams and partners on technical product capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Business OR a business/marketing degree with an IT-related add-on qualification
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in pre-sales and post-sales technical roles (e.g., Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Implementation SME)
  • At least 3 years of experience working with software security technologies in enterprise environments
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience engaging with C-level executives
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and OSI model (L2–L7), including TCP/UDP protocols
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity solutions such as EDR, NDR, SIEM, and related technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security architectures
  • Additional cybersecurity certifications or hands-on experience are highly desirable
