Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Salon Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients. The successful candidate will manage front desk operations, support appointment scheduling, handle customer inquiries, and promote salon services through effective communication and upselling techniques.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced customer service environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming salon experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Welcome clients warmly and ensure a positive first impression of the salon.
  • Manage front desk operations, including receiving calls, responding to inquiries, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain an organized booking system and ensure smooth daily appointment flow.
  • Promote salon services and support sales through effective upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  • Provide accurate information about salon services, pricing, and promotions.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented reception and waiting areas.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records where required.
  • Support salon staff with administrative and customer service-related tasks.
  • Ensure client data is accurately captured and updated in the system.
  • Assist in achieving customer satisfaction and retention targets.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management to support salon operations.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Customer Service, Office Administration, or a related field.
  • Have 1–2 years of experience in a similar receptionist or customer service role.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Possess experience in sales and upselling (an added advantage).
  • Have good knowledge of salon services and beauty industry operations.
  • Be a proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Be computer literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic booking systems.
  • Be friendly, well-presented, and customer-oriented.
  • Reside in North Kaneshie and surrounding areas.
