Position Summary

The Security Officer will be responsible for safeguarding company personnel, facilities, equipment, and property by implementing security procedures, monitoring activities, and responding effectively to security and emergency incidents. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a secure working environment and supporting the Company’s commitment to safety and operational continuity.


Key Responsibilities

The Security Officer will:

  • Monitor and control access at all entry and exit points, verifying the credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and other authorized personnel.
  • Conduct routine foot patrols of factory buildings, warehouses, offices, and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and other security equipment and promptly report any suspicious activities or security concerns.
  • Manage vehicle access and movement within the facility and ensure compliance with parking regulations.
  • Prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized access to company property.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, accidents, and fire incidents.
  • Provide first-line emergency response and secure incident scenes when necessary.
  • Enforce company security policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate daily security logs, occurrence books, and incident reports.
  • Report security breaches, hazards, unusual activities, or operational risks to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Assist with internal investigations, inspections, audits, and compliance activities as required.
  • Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, and professionalism throughout the workplace.

Qualification Requirements

  • Senior High School Certificate (SHS/WASSCE) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in security services, protective services, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environment will be an advantage.
  • Military, police, or professional security service background will be an added advantage.

  • Strong observation, surveillance, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to remain alert, calm, and professional under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to follow procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Basic knowledge of security equipment, including CCTV systems, radios, and scanning devices.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and conduct routine patrols.

Work Requirements

  • Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts.
  • Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a manufacturing and industrial environment.
