Security Services Coordinator (Full-Time)

Location: Accra, Ghana

About the Role

As the Security Services Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of security operations across the organization’s offices, residences, and other facilities. You will ensure effective security systems, supervise security personnel, implement security policies, and promote a culture of safety while safeguarding people, property, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee security operations across all organisational locations.
  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and crime prevention measures to protect people, property, and assets.
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures, standing orders, and operational protocols.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security guards and officers, ensuring effective deployment and performance.
  • Develop duty rosters and allocate security personnel to ensure adequate coverage at all locations.
  • Monitor the performance of security personnel and provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct annual staff performance appraisals and contribute to security budget preparation and planning.
  • Implement strategies to strengthen security awareness, vigilance, and operational effectiveness across the organisation.
  • Conduct routine and surprise security inspections to assess compliance and identify potential security risks.
  • Coordinate personnel screening and access control procedures to prevent theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor physical security measures, including perimeter protection, gates, lighting, surveillance systems, and access points.
  • Investigate security incidents and ensure timely reporting, documentation, and appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate security reports, incident records, and operational documentation.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders when required.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvements to security systems, processes, and operational practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance throughout the organisation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Senior retired officer from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, or Ghana Armed Forces with a minimum rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Warrant Officer Class One (WO1), or Captain will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ relevant experience in security management, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating security operations across multiple locations.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physical security operations, risk management, and crime prevention practices.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent incident investigation and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of access control, surveillance systems, and facility security.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation.
