About the Role
As a Shop Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure efficient performance, exceptional customer service, and achievement of business objectives. You will lead the shop team, maintain high operational standards, and support the delivery of an outstanding shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
- Lead, motivate, and coach shop assistants to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and support training and development initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and visually appealing store environment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory activities, including receiving stock, shelving products, replenishing displays, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate timely replenishment to minimize stock shortages.
- Assist in preparing sales reports, shift schedules, and other operational performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and merchandising standards.
- Support the implementation of promotional campaigns and in-store marketing activities.
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities to improve sales performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all cash handling and point-of-sale procedures are followed accurately.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a retail environment is an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build positive customer relationships.
- Good organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
- Experience managing inventory and stock control processes.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
