Role Purpose
The Senior Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing strategic partnerships within the fintech and financial services ecosystem. The successful candidate will lead complex commercial negotiations, manage key institutional relationships, and execute business development strategies that expand market presence and accelerate revenue performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Identify, pursue, and close complex commercial deals with banks, IMTOs, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
- Lead negotiations and structure commercial agreements for payment solutions, including collections, disbursements, and cross-border payment services.
- Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders across the financial ecosystem.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and pitching to contract closure and onboarding.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery and partner integration.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic business opportunities.
- Track performance metrics and provide regular revenue and pipeline reports to leadership.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to overall team capability development where required.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum of five (5)+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Proven track record of owning revenue targets and closing complex commercial deals.
- Demonstrated experience working with IMTOs, banks, or financial institutions.

- Strong understanding of payment gateways, collections, disbursements, and cross-border payment systems.
- Advanced commercial negotiation and deal structuring skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
- Strategic planning ability with disciplined execution.
- Data-driven decision-making and strong analytical skills.
Desired Competencies (Added Advantage)
- Strong knowledge of the Ghanaian payments ecosystem and regulatory landscape.
- Experience managing or mentoring teams.
- Exposure to regional or multi-country payment corridors.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory onboarding processes.
