Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Finance Officer, you will:
- Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support organizational objectives.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support finance transformation initiatives and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Prepare management reports and financial presentations for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen financial planning and reporting processes.
- Support the development and implementation of finance policies and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional membership with ICA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent recognized accounting body.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in finance or accounting.
- Proven experience in the preparation and review of financial reports.
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience coordinating both internal and external audits.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting finance transformation initiatives and process improvements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, report writing, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems.
